HOW TO GET THERE?
By Train:

Getting to Princeton University by train from New York City

Take the New Jersey Transit northeast corridor line from New York Penn station to Princeton. You will have to change trains at Princeton Junction and take a smaller train, called the "dinky" to Princeton. A round-trip ticket costs $24.

The E-Quad (the area where the conference is going to be) is at a walking distance from the Princeton train station. Here is an interactive map of campus and a pdf version of it. Friend Center is in the E-Quad area, on the corner of Olden and William streets.

Another option is to take the campus shuttle. The shuttle stop is right next to the train station. Here is a wonderful picture of the train station area provided by Google with slight modifications: click here. You need to take the green line shuttle. The shuttle will take you around campus (from stop 9 to stop 7 as numbered on the map) and eventually to the Computer/EQUAD stop. It will drop you off at Olden Street. Friend Center is on the corner of Olden and William streets.

By Car:

The Friend Center for Engineering Education at Princeton University is located at Olden and William Streets. You can obtain directions from Mapquest with this intersection or plug 35 Olden St. into your GPS.

Parking: The use of metered parking is recommended for this event.  Metered parking is available on William Street; along Olden Avenue between William St. and Prospect St.; and on Prospect Street.  The BioNJ staff will have quarters available should you need to make change for the meters.

From the NORTH/NEW YORK CITY
Take the New Jersey Turnpike south to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). After the toll booths, take the first right turn onto the ramp for Route 18 north. Soon after you enter Route 18, take the left side of a fork in the road, staying in the right lane. Immediately bear right for an exit to U.S. Route 1 south/Trenton.

Drive south on Route 1 for about 18 miles to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Take the first right off the circle (between the gas stations) toward Princeton.  To reach the Friend Center from Washington Road, turn right on Prospect Ave. and left at the intersection of Prospect and Olden Avenues.

.

From the WEST
Drive east on Interstate 78 into New Jersey. Exit onto southbound Interstate 287 (toward Somerville). Follow signs for Routes 202/206 south. Drive south on 202 for a short distance and then follow signs to 206 south, which will take you around a traffic circle. Go south on 206 for about 18 miles to Nassau Street (Route 27) in the center of Princeton. Turn left onto Nassau Street.  Olden Ave. and Nassau St. intersect shortly thereafter.

From the SOUTH
If you are coming from southern New Jersey, we recommend that you take Interstate 295 north (instead of the New Jersey Turnpike). Take Exit 67 to Route 1 north. Travel about three miles north on Route 1 to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Go three quarters of the way around the circle and turn right (between the gas stations) toward Princeton.  To reach the Friend Center from Washington Road, turn right on Prospect Ave. and left at the intersection of Prospect and Olden Avenues.

.

From the EAST
Take Interstate 195 west (toward Trenton) to the exit for Interstate 295 north. Drive seven miles to the exit for Route 1 north (exit 67). Travel about three miles north on Route 1 to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Go three quarters of the way around the circle and turn right (between the gas stations) toward Princeton. To reach the Friend Center from Washington Road, turn right on Prospect Ave. and left at the intersection of Prospect and Olden Avenues.

.

From the PHILADELPHIA AREA
Take Interstate 95 north into New Jersey and exit at Route 1 north (exit 67).
